[Well, you can't just yell at boys and not check on the main girl involved. After talking with Rohan and Mari and Dandy (and hoping Ibuki's had enough time to get in a mood to talk about it) Maya at last takes the time to try and get Ibuki alone for a chat, too.
After all, she really wants everyone she's living with to be okay.

There once was a boy who was a Halloween fanatic. He loved dressing up for Halloween, he loved pulling pranks and watching horror movies, and above everything else... he loved candy. One fateful year, while he went trick-or-treating, he visited a house. This house was creepy as hell! It was big, it was old, it smelled like a grandmother and it was owned by a happy, old rich couple. The boy came here thinking that he would be handed out big chocolate bars, because it was a rich person's house but when he knocked on their door... he was handed a bag of that shitty candy that nobody likes! ...going to find it opens with a... kazoo noise? And a... glitter bomb...? A lame one, if those are the right words for it - it's not... glitter. It's tissue confetti. Not even in interesting colors. If she inspects the interior, at least, she'll find the kazoo noise was made by... what... look like two parts of a noisemaker, taped in between lid and box-box!
In addition to that, however! A slip of one-layer pale cream cardboard, bent in an inverted "V" like a nameplate on the surface of a desk, on a battered stuffed toy of a... brownish wolfdog...? ...with a couple of capped-off nails through its was-supposed-to-be-cutely-protruding tongue.
On the cardboard slip are four little marks and the words "HAPPY HALF ANNIVERSARY, SUGARTITS".
She mmmmmay want to pick it up and examine, 'cause those four little marks are gonna clearly be... studs? Metal ones. She knows the kind. Two four-of-a-kinds.
On the inside of that bent card are the words "Come over to trade these babies and a needle for your present!"
He knows she's gonna be excited for what he has in mind.]

A stuffed toy that looks like it was pulled out of a dumpster. Which she, honestly, "aww"s at as she pulls it out.
Nails in its tongue and all.
Pulling it out, though, does get that card to lift and drop into her lap - which she quickly picks up and inspects, blinking a bit in surprise at the words.]

There once was a boy who was a Halloween fanatic. He loved dressing up for Halloween, he loved pulling pranks and watching horror movies, and above everything else... he loved candy. One fateful year, while he went trick-or-treating, he visited a house. This house was creepy as hell! It was big, it was old, it smelled like a grandmother and it was owned by a happy, old rich couple. The boy came here thinking that he would be handed out big chocolate bars, because it was a rich person's house but when he knocked on their door... he was handed a bag of that shitty candy that nobody likes! Tootsie rolls, shitty flavoured dum-dums, those weird... peanut things... needless to say, the boy was heartbroken. He was so heartbroken that he died, right there on their porch and now, every Halloween he goes out and finds people to curse. He wants everyone to suffer the same way he did!
